EMV Deadline:
As of October 1st 2015, the liability for fraudulent transactions has partially shifted from the card issuing banks to the party with less secure credit card accepting technology (EMV compliance). Though, in no way, accepting EMV has been mandated by VISA, Master Card, Discover or American Express. However, merchants experiencing high percentage of fraudulent transactions are advised to update their POS terminals to accept EMV.

EMV Retail Solution:
Currently, our retail and quick service merchants have an option to accept EMV cards utilizing pcAmerica Cash Register Express and Restaurant Pro Express with Verifone Vx805 or PAX S300 Pin Pads. Whether, additional middleware such as DataCap is required depends on the processing platform.
