Q: Is your retail point of sale system solution (pcAmerica Cash Register Express) capable of accepting chip cards (EMV)?
A: Yes, however EMV certification depends on your credit card processor. Currently the following processors have been certified with pcAmerica CRE:
1. First Data Merchant Services is certified directly via PAX S300 and through DataCap via Verifone VX805.
2. Chase Paymentech is certified through DataCap via Verifone VX805.
3. Mercury is certified through DataCap via Verifone VX805.
4. Vantiv is certified through DataCap via Verifone VX805.
5. Heartland is certified directly via PAX S300.
Q: Is your restaurant point of sale system solution (Aldelo POS for Restaurants) capable of accepting chip cards (EMV)?
A: Yes, however EMV certification depends on your credit card processor. Currently the following processors have been certified with Aldelo EDC:
1. TSYS
2. Mercury
3. Heartland
4. Sterling
4. North American Bancard
Q: Can I accept tips from chip cards (EMV)?
A: Tip acceptance and adjustment is a bit trickier with EMV than with a Mag stripe. It depends on the availability of the tokenization on the platform. As of the date of this publication, only Heartland and TSYS have been known to support this functionality.

Q: Is Aldelo EDC for Chase Paymentech being discontinued?
A:Yes, according to Aldelo, EDC version for Chase Paymentech will be End of Life (EOL) on 03/21/2019. Contact us at 347-746-9796 for more details on the transition.
